I had an idea.
So, chances are, if you’re reading this, you know I love music. So I am going to do a little post about the Grammy’s. I don’t necessarily think I’m better than people because I like better music than them, ok, not that much better. And I really appreciate pop music, I know every word to Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’, but I am of the mindset that Best Album of the Year really should be best album of the year, not the one that made the most money or generated the most singles. The quality of music should be the best representation of the art produced that year. It seems to me that these awards don’t generally do that. I find it hard to believe that we’re going to be listening to Lady Gaga in ten years. And I might not be listening to the Suburbs in 10 years, but I’d say there’s a better chance.
I’ll probably be in bit of a rage on Sunday when quality bands get screwed over, just a warning.
